@depamas68: Don't be so overly unassuming. We are at eye level and learn from each other. Anyway, I will not give many answers here anymore, as long as the site owners care so little about the evident problems of their site. It is too frustrating, because the problems with the spam flood and the missing reverse search have not been solved since years. And the loss of the old pictures was the last drop. By the way, do you know a workaround for the partly disfunctional Yandex reverse image search? Its Similar Images function does not work anymore (it yields only a page with empty thumbnails), and the other functions only work slowly and with many additional clicks.

@stripe - I honestly wouldn't know what to tell you, because Yandex works normally for me. Of course, I always connect through VPN. Sometimes no noticed that after a certain period of connecting from a certain location (example Switzerland), some problem similar to the ones you mentioned starts to arise. At that point I close the browser, and change VPN connection location (e.g. Holland). I reopen the browser and everything works properly again.

@depamas68: Hmm, that's strange, for me it does not work smoothly as before, not even with VPN by different countries. The problems occur for different browsers, on different computers (all with Windows, though), with different IPs. What happens when you go to yandex.com/images and drag an image file from your desktop onto that web page? It used to begin the reverse search then, but it does not anymore, since one or two weeks. @stripe - I don't doubt that you or others may have problems, mine was just a guess related to VPN. Aside from some minor glitches sometimes, as I told you before, I can only say that the reverse image search function on Yandex to me continues to work normally as before. Where could be the cause generating your problems I have no idea !

@stripe - I have no problem no matter what browser I use, SO always win11. Also because, if it stopped working for me too Yandex as a reverse image search, there is very little I could do and answer on this site! Google images is worth less and less with each passing day. Bing images is totally useless. The other image search engines are also of little use, at least, in the area related to the kind of searches that are needed on this site.

@depamas68: I don't have Win11 here, maybe this is the reason for the problems. Thanks anyway for your answers. Pimeyes works surprisingly well for face recognition, with only few false positives. But without a registered Pimeyes account I need the additional help of Yandex to follow the traces that Pimeyes detects.
